UP man shocked by ₹99,99,94,95,999.99 credit due to bank software glitch
West Bengal Police's Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two members of an inter-state gang with narcotics worth five crore rupees. They have been identified as Gaur Sarkar (35) and Gulam Sheikh (60), both residents of Sahibganj district in Jharkhand.
According to SP IPS Indrajit Basu of the STF, on Wednesday morning, they apprehended both individuals at the Baharampur bus stand in Murshidabad. Upon conducting a search, they recovered four kilograms and 800 grams of banned narcotic substance, highly intoxicating morphine.
It has been revealed that they had brought the narcotics from Jharkhand to Murshidabad. After the seizure of the narcotics, they were arrested and a primary case has been registered against them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Baharampur police station.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the narcotics and the locations where they were involved in the illicit trade.
